Lake Rules

  • Prior to booking – Terms & Conditions (as well as the Lake Rules) must be fully read and understood
  • Maximum of two anglers with a maximum of three rods per angler
  • No unauthorised visitors permitted
  • No pets allowed onsite
  • Arrival must not be before 2pm on Friday and departure must be before 9am on the following Friday
  • Front gate to be kept closed at all times
  • Designated car park to be used for vehicles – Fox barrow provided to transport fishing gear to swims
  • Bait boats are permitted
  • There are two bait boats available for hire – they must be returned in the same good clean state as when provided
  • No braided mainline
  • Minimum 15lb line
  • Minimum 18inch tubing or Korda safe zone leaders
  • No leadcore to be used
  • No permanently fixed lead rigs
  • No double or treble hook rigs
  • Micro-barbed hooks only
  • Rigs will be subject to inspection
  • No plastic baits
  • No tigernuts or peanuts
  • Only particle purchased at Willow View Lake permitted and only 5kg per angler permitted
  • Nets, slings and cradles provided – Do not bring your own
  • Fishing from designated swims only
  • Rods are not to be left unattended under any circumstances
  • Do not ever pull for a break – contact Sam regardless of the time of day or night
  • Strictly no sacking of fish permitted
  • All fish must be unhooked before leaving the lake – the rig must be unclipped or the line cut
  • Under no circumstances are the fish to be transferred to the cradle with the hook and line still attached
  • All fish must be transferred from lake to cradle by the slings provided
  • Under no circumstances are the fish to be lifted out of the water in the net – even if rolled up
  • No standing whilst holding a fish of any size – photographs either in the water or knelt position with a cradle
  • All carp over 45lbs must be photographed in the water with no exception
  • The sturgeon must be photographed in the water
  • The sturgeon must remain in the water and can only ever be brought to the bank for weighing if Sam is present 
  • Carp care kit to be used on every fish
  • No fires permitted apart from the wood burner and BBQs must be in designated area
  • No food or bait to be left outside overnight – storage facilities, fridge and freezer provided on lake grounds
  • Strictly no feeding of stray cats 
  • Strictly no litter including cigarette ends – dustbins provided (glass, tins and plastic to be kept separate from general waste)
  • Swims and gîte to be thoroughly cleaned before departure (please see T&Cs regarding damages and cleaning fees)

During spawning it is not permitted to target actively spawning carp. Casting into spawning areas or where groups of fish are showing spawning behaviour is prohibited

Termination of holiday agreement without compensation or refund if the Lake Rules or Terms & Conditions are not adhered to
